AUTOMATIC ORDENANCE RECOGNITION

The Automatic Ordnance Recognition (AOR) system represents an innovative step forward in the field of security and technology applied to the detection of wartime ordnance from the First and Second World Wars. Developed by the Avires laboratory at the University of Udine, as an integral part of Project PNRM 171 – Augmented Reality for Mobile Applications (RA2M), the AOR system leverages the most advanced artificial intelligence technologies in the field of computer vision and neural networks.

Here are the main features of Automatic Ordnance Recognition:

  1. Advanced Artificial Intelligence: The core of the AOR system is powered by state-of-the-art neural networks capable of real-time analysis of images captured through the dedicated mobile application.
  2. Automatic Recognition: AOR is designed to automatically identify wartime ordnance, ensuring a high degree of accuracy and reducing the risk of errors.
  3. User-Friendly Mobile App: The mobile application connected to the AOR system offers an intuitive and user-friendly interface, allowing users to make detections easily and quickly.
  4. Cloud Computing: Thanks to integration with a dedicated cloud system, AOR can perform complex processing and securely store relevant data, facilitating information management and long-term trend analysis.
  5. Intelligent Recognition of Unexploded Ordnance: The primary functionality of AOR is the intelligent recognition of unexploded ordnance, thus contributing to improving safety in clearance and disposal operations.
