The project developed by Eye-Tech Ltd offers a new museum experience. Adaptable to environments of various sizes, it consists of five stations:
STATION 1 – “Animated Wall” – allows the projection on a wall of about 150×200 cm of textual and visual content. Both the type of content and the duration of the projection are customizable based on the needs of the individual exhibition;
STATION 2 – “Visual-Cloud” – consists of a touch-screen monitor on which, starting from a visual cloud containing the entire catalog of works inside the exhibition structure, the user can choose and consult the works of interest, displaying in-depth information (e.g., the author of the work, the date it was created, the collection it belongs to, etc.);
STATION 3 – “Iconography” – allows the user to interact actively with the exhibited works. In an initial phase, the user can interact with an iconographic dictionary (created ad hoc in collaboration with the exhibition curators) and view multimedia content by clicking on specific objects within the painting. An autonomous system, using sensors and artificial vision algorithms, recognizes the iconography selected by the user and provides in-depth multimedia content;
STATION 4 – “Game” – is based on a table with a series of A4-sized black and white graphic reproductions and an advanced system capable of recognizing the work to which the reproductions refer and offering the user additional multimedia content. Placing the A4 graphic reproduction on the table activates an interaction monitor showing the proposed work accompanied by an initial question for the user and a series of possible answers. There may be two or three answers, with only one correct. If the visitor chooses the wrong answer, a brief explanation will appear on the interaction monitor. If the correct answer is chosen, the display monitor will activate with a short audio-visual clip. At the end of the video linked to the correct answer, the next question appears on the interaction monitor;
STATION 5 – “Technical Station” – appears as a desk with 4 drawers. Each drawer contains physical objects such as brushes, jars of pigment, drawing tools, etc. Opening each drawer will activate a representative explanation video of the object contained in it;
STATION 6 – “Immersive Station” – allows the projection of multimedia content on four walls of the room, immersing the user in an animated virtual environment, giving them the sensation of being inside the painting.
