What is Vehicle Control Unit?
Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) is an intelligent IoT application that allows the control and monitoring of devices/sensors in a vehicle (cars, vans, trucks, transportation vehicles, etc.).
With VCU, it’s possible, for example, to control the opening and closing of all doors, the turning on and off of lights, as well as to monitor the status of all security services and manage all alarms comprehensively. Vehicle Control Unit replaces the normal control units of the vehicle with a state-of-the-art touch-screen panel, incorporating all vehicle actuators into a single user-friendly interface.
Vehicle Control Unit communicates with any control unit through various connection methods, such as via Bluetooth or through USB/serial connection.
Application Scenarios
Vehicle Control Unit can be installed on all vehicles that require advanced control and monitoring of all installed equipment. For example, in armored cash transport vehicles, Vehicle Control Unit can be used for the opening and closing of doors, control of all security features (locks, etc.), alarm management, or remote vehicle management.
